Montgomery woman charged with stabbing, trying to poison daughters

(MONTGOMERY) A woman was charged with attempted murder after allegedly trying to poison her three daughters in west suburban Montgomery last month, according to Montgomery Police.

Pamela J. Christensen, 47, was charged with three counts each of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful restraint, all felonies, police said in a statement.

At 10:50 a.m. on Sept. 25, authorities responded to the 2300 block of Patron Lane after receiving two 911 hang-up calls.

Christensen also is accused of stabbing two of her daughters, police said.

The daughters — whose ages were not available — were taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where they were treated and released, police said.

Christensen was taken to Presence Mercy Medical Center in Aurora and released into police custody on Wednesday.

She was ordered held on $1,000,000 bail Thursday. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 16.
