Man wounded in South Chicago shooting

A man was shot in the South Chicago neighborhood Wednesday evening.

About 5:45 p.m., the 22-year-old was standing outside near the intersection of 83rd and South Shore Drive when a vehicle pulled up and someone got out and opened fire, police said.

He was taken to South Shore Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
