A man was shot to death early Sunday in a vehicle in the West Englewood neighborhood.

Andre B. Johnson Jr., 29, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the face at 4:47 a.m. in a vehicle in the 1500 block of West 72nd Place, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was sitting in the front passenger side of the parked vehicle when someone walked up and fired shots, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy Monday found he died a gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office. His home address was not being released Monday afternoon.
