A Chicago man was fatally shot Thursday evening in west suburban Montgomery.

Jesus Garcia Jr., 28, was found lying on the street by police about 6 p.m. near the intersection of Montgomery Road and Fourth Street, police said in a statement.

Garcia, of the 4700 block of North Kildare in Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No one is in custody and further details were not immediately available.
