On Wednesday, investigators from the Lake County sheriff’s Cybercrimes Unit and Lake County state’s attorney’s cyber unit executed a search warrant at the home of 63-year-old James R. Weeden, a statement from the sheriff’s office said.

The search in the 200 block of Switchgrass Drive in Round Lake found multiple electronic media storage devices and “forensic examination of the media devices revealed thousands of images and videos identified as child pornography,” the statement said.

Investigators later determined Weeden took nude photographs of a child under 13 years of age, while the child was visiting his residence,” the statement said.

He is charged with five Class X felony counts of manufacturing child pornography, and five counts of possession of child pornography, according to police.

He was ordered held on a $1 million bond, and is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 23 in Waukegan.

Police are looking for other possible victims and anyone with information on Weeden should call Det. Christopher Covelli at (847) 377-4145.
