T.F. North fends off Richards

With the game already decided, T.F. North senior Christian Johnson took some grief from coach Tim Bankston after missing three free throws in the final 18 seconds and falling one shy of the 20-point mark.

“Chris answered the bell for us,” Bankston said. “That’s what we need from him and what we expect from a three-year varsity player.”

With Johnson dominating the paint, the Meteors rolled to a 48-37 win in a South Suburban crossover Friday night in Oak Lawn.
