SHARE Research reveals Jay Cutler plays better with a beard

I’m not sure if this research is pro-facial hair, anti-Jay Cutler or some weird combination.

Apparently NFL hairdos and facial hair are worthy of intensive study, and if you check out this chart, you will learn more than you ever thought possible on the subject.

For example, Jay Cutler has an 81.98 quarterback rating when he’s clean shaven. His rating is 88.31 with facial hair.

Similar increases hold true for Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck and Matt Stafford.

Some other fun facts:

>> With 12.73 percent of the Chicago Bears being bald, the Bears are the baldest team in the league.

>> 89 percent of NFL players have some type of facial hair.

>> Kansas City is the scruffiest team in the NFL, with 98.39 percent of the team owning some sort of facial hair.

There’s a ton more to comb through — ahem — in this infographic.
