A 14-year-old girl was shot Sunday afternoon in the Kenwood neighborhood on the South Side.

The girl was shot in the leg about 4:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Lake Park Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney, citing preliminary information.

She was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, but her condition was not immediately known, Sweeney said.
