$300K bond for man charged with robbing convenience store at gunpoint

A man charged with robbing a Loop convenience store at gunpoint earlier this month was ordered held on a $300,000 bond on Sunday.

Ardamis Sims, 35, is charged with two counts of armed robbery, according to a Chicago Police statement.

Sims was identified as the man who entered the store in the 100 block of North Franklin at 4:45 a.m. on Dec. 5, police said. He allegedly held up the store with a gun and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A judge on Sunday ordered him held on a $300,000 bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.

Sims, of the 1400 block of East 66th Place, is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 26.
