Three charged with string of burglaries in Arlington Heights

(ARLINGTON HEIGHTS) Three people have been charged with breaking into nine homes over the past two months in northwest suburban Arlington Heights.

Marvin Hill, 18, and two juvenile offenders would enter through unlocked sliding glass doors at homes near Lake Cook and Wilke roads and take electronics and jewelry, according to a statement from Arlington Heights police.

The trio committed at least nine burglaries and attempted four others, police said. The majority of the stolen items have been returned.

Hill, of the 4000 block of Bonhill Drive in Arlington Heights, was charged with two counts of residential burglary and held on a $30,000 bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office. He is next due in court Jan. 13.

The other two alleged burglars were charged as minors with residential burglary. Their names were withheld because of their ages.
