A person was shot in the leg Tuesday morning on the South Side.

The shooting happened in the 8600 block of South Morgan about 10 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said.

The male, whose age was not immediately known, was shot in the leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Sedevic said. Information on his condition was not immediately available.
