Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson seemed content Tuesday with that one-game suspension the NFL handed down to Lions center Dominic Raiola, the man who stomped on his right ankle Sunday.

“I really don’t know too much about his track record,” the Bears defensive tackle said Tuesday at Halas Hall. “But at the end of the day, for what happened, I mean, I guess they league did what they had to do.”

Raiola appealed his suspension but it was upheld by the league. Coach Marc Trestman declined comment on the suspension, saying the NFL has protocol for discipline.

Ferguson said his ankle, stepped on by Raiola, won’t hamper him entering the game

“Nothing’s going to hold me back from playing,” he said.
