A man is in guarded condition after a shooting Wednesday morning in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 25-year-old man was walking down the street in the 4100 block of West Wilcox about 11 a.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” police said.

He was dropped off at Mount Sinai Hospital with gunshot wounds to his head and left knee, police said. He remains in guarded condition Wednesday afternoon.
