Man shot, critically wounded in Pilsen

A man was shot and critically wounded Wednesday night in the Pilsen neighborhood.

The 23-year-old man was shot in the head about 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of South Ashland, police said.

He walked into Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Officers responding to the hospital were unable to interview him because of the nature of his injuries, police said.
