A man charged in a Little Village shooting who allegedly also pointed his gun at police was ordered held on $750,000 bond Thursday.
Hugo Minon, 18, was charged with aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault to a peace officer with a firearm, defacing firearm ID markings and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with a shooting near the intersection of Cermak and Marshall late Tuesday.
About 10:45 p.m., officers on patrol in the area saw what looked like an armed robbery taking place, police said. A 19-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
In a statement released late Wednesday, police said that while officers chased Minon, he turned and pointed a gun at them. Officers fired at him, but no one was struck.
Minon, of the 2800 block of South Homan, was ordered held on $750,000 bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s office.
