A man was killed and another was wounded during a domestic-related shooting Thursday evening in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

Both men, ages 42 and 52, were shot in the 1900 block of South Trumbull about 6 p.m., police said. A male relative thought to be the shooter drove off from the scene in a blue vehicle, police said.

Dennis Jones, 52, of the 4900 block of West Augusta, was shot in his torso and leg, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The other man was shot in the leg and took himself to Mount Sinai, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
