No bond for men charged with Christmas Day robbery, shooting in Englewood

Bond has been denied for two men charged with shooting a man during a robbery in Englewood early Christmas Day.

Kwanie Furdge, 19, and Daniel Hudson, 31, each face two felony counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and armed robbery for the shooting that happened about 1:45 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of South Carpenter, police said.

The duo allegedly walked up to a 25-year-old and one of them shot him in the leg after announcing a robbery. The robbers fled with his jacket and cell phone, police said.

The man shot was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said at the time.

Furdge, of the 5600 block of South Ashland, faces an additional aggravated battery charge for discharging a firearm, according to a police statement.

Furdge and Hudson, of the 1400 block of West 68th Street, were each ordered held without bond, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office website.
