A man was shot early Saturday in a drive-by shooting in the South Shore neighborhood.

The 23-year-old man was shot about 2:10 a.m. as he stood on a porch in the 7300 block of South Kenwood, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. A vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, striking the man in the ankle.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Greer said.
