The school bus that was slated to drive New Trier’s girls basketball team to its quarterfinal game at the Dundee-Crown Charger Classic tournament never arrived Saturday afternoon.

A second bus eventually got the Trevians to Dundee-Crown at 7:25 p.m., 35 minutes before New Trier was scheduled to tip off against Burlington Central. The two previous games went to overtime, buying the Trevians extra time. After a sluggish start, New Trier started rolling in the second quarter. The Trevians pushed the lead to 20 by the end of the third quarter and went on to earn a 62-41 victory over the Rockets.
