It wasn’t pretty, but Romeoville outlasted Lemont, 66-63, on Saturday night to advance to the Small School title game in the Christmas tournament it hosts.

The Spartans and Indians traded the lead 13 times, eight exchanges coming in the final quarter, with Romeoville taking the lead for good on Matt Cappeletti’s two free-throws with 27.1 seconds to play. That 62-61 lead expanded to three points twice in the final seconds.
