A man was shot and seriously injured in the Little Village neighborhood early Saturday.

The 24-year-old was standing on a sidewalk about 3:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of West 23rd Street when a dark-colored car pulled up, and a gunman yelling gang slogans opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in both legs and a friend took him to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

He has documented gang ties, police said.
