Police issued an alert after a string of recent armed robberies in the New City neighborhood.

In each incident, several men approach a lone person, display a handgun and demand property, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred:

– Dec. 15, about 6:10 p.m. in the 5200 block of South Justine

– Dec. 18, about 4:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of South Laflin

– Dec. 24, about 12:20 a.m. in the 5200 block of South Ashland
