Two men appeared in bond court Monday, charged with fatally shooting a 23-year-old man Sunday in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

Terrell Monroe, 22, and Marcae Rogers, 32, were charged each with one count of first degree murder, police said.

The shooting happened Friday about 2:50 p.m. in the 300 block of East 47th Street. David Drayton, 23, was shot in the upper body and leg, police said.

Drayton, of the 6400 block of South Harvard, was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Officers located Monroe and Rogers after a concerned citizen gave them detailed information about the two, police said.

Monroe, of the 7200 block of South Eberhart, was ordered held without bond, court records show. Rogers, of the 5400 block of South Damen, was ordered held on a $1 million bond. Both will next appear in court Jan. 15.
