PONTIAC, IL — It was a typical early morning game, with both St. Charles North and Warren starting slow. The North Stars eventually shook off the cobwebs and cruised to a 41-25 win over the Blue Devils in the opening game of the first round of the Pontiac Holiday Tournament on Monday.

Junior Armon Osborne led St. Charles North (7-4) with 15 points, he shot 5 for 7 from three-point range. The North Stars drained seven three-pointers in the game, shooting over Warren’s zone defense.

The Blue Devils (4-7) struggled to find any scoring, not managing more than seven points in any quarter. They turned the ball over 21 times while scoring just nine field goals.

Jake Ludwig had nine points, six rebounds and four assists for St. Charles North and Mikey Schroeder scored five.

CJ Payawal and Jon Lewis each scored seven for Warren.

St. Charles North will play the winner of the Plainfield North vs. Bloomington game in the second round on Tuesday.
