St. Edward pulls out press, then pulls away

In Monday’s finale of pool play at the IC Prep/Westmont Christmas Tournament, St. Edward slogged through the early part of the game at a snail’s pace, even after a day away from the court.

Then the Green Wave went to the press and benefitted twofold in producing their seventh straight win, a 59-30 decision over Walther Christian that sets up the tourney championship game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
