Corey Crawford rises (and falls) at concert Monday night

It was just supposed to be a simple Night We Stole Christmas bash hosted by radio station WKQX at House of Blues Monday night, but instead Blackhawks star Corey Crawford was stolen from our lineup for the next few weeks after allegedly suffering a fall at the show, which was headlined by Rise Against.

“I was at a concert the other day and was on the way out and missed a step and I didn’t think it was that bad,” Crawford said to the media today. “I woke up the next day and it was worse than I thought. … I’m pretty embarrassed about it, frustrated.”

Crawford was spotted at the show and later hanging out in the private areas of the concert hall with the band, most likely in the neighborhood for a Blackhawks Live event featuring teammates Brad Richards and Johnny Oduya at 10Pin Bowling Lounge across the street earlier in the evening.

A commenter on a Deadspin.com article said he spoke to Crawford at the gig — about the Maple Leafs and American beer.

Let’s hope for some Christmas miracle to bring him back to the lineup earlier than we thought; until then keep rocking Crawford but maybe hold off the holiday punch.
