There’s a party over at Fox and Chicago’s own Danny Pudi was recently invited.

Recruited to anchor an “sci-fi comedy” called “The Tyler Zone” (it’s in production and intended as a half-hour series on Fox, its sister stations or elsewhere), the “Community” star is now part of a creative union between Fox and The Lonely Island dubbed “Party Over Here.”

If you’re not familiar with Lonely Island, it’s comprised of former “Saturday Night Live” cast member/current “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” standout Andy Samberg and his cohorts Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. The latter two were on staff at “SNL” as well and, along with Samberg, are responsible for such hit comedy shorts as “D— in a Box,” “I’m on a Boat” and “Motherlover.”

Here’s the network’s official description of “The Tyler Zone”: “When Tyler moves to a new town, he finds himself in the middle of a series of supernatural occurrences. Are they really happening, or is it all in his head?”
