Larry Spangler, 53, bought the winning ticket while waiting at Circle K to cash in a $30 winning $300,000,000 Cash Spectacular ticket, according to a release from the Illinois Lottery.

“I was planning to collect my $30 in cash. I’m glad I changed my mind and got the Cash Bonanza ticket instead!” Spangler said in the release.

Spangler, a lifetime resident of Manteno, and his wife plan to use the winnings to play bills, including their son’s student loans, and make investments.

The ticket was purchased at Circle K, 113 Cypress Dr. in Manteno, according to the release. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
