More people moved out of Illinois than moved in this year, and the gap was the biggest among the 50 states, Allied Van Lines says.

Illinois had a net 1,372 outbound moves in 2014, the moving company reported Tuesday. Allied is a subsidiary of Oakbrook Terrace-based Sirva Inc.

Allied handled 4,148 moves out of the state and 2,776 moves into Illinois during the year, according to its 2014 State Magnet Report.

Pennsylvania was second with a net 1,127 outbound moves, followed by New York with 847, Michigan with 846 and New Jersey with 744.

Texas had the biggest gain, with 1,973 net inbound moves in 2014. Next was Florida, with 1,751, then Arizona (732), South Carolina (501) and Colorado (474).
