(NAPERVILLE) A man who was fatally struck by a freight train Sunday night in the western suburbs has been identified.

Christopher Weiland, 20, was struck by a westbound freight train on the BNSF tracks in an unincorporated area near Naperville at 10:08 p.m., according to the DuPage County coroner’s office.

Weiland was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:30 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

No autopsy will be performed, though toxicology results are pending, according to the coroner’s office.

The incident remains under investigation by the coroner and the DuPage County sheriff’s office.
