Lane Reduction on IL 59 at I-88 slated for Monday

(WARRENVILLE) A new traffic pattern will begin Monday on northbound IL 59 between Diehl Road in Aurora, Naperville and Ferry Road in Warrenville.

The project, which is expected to be complete by Sept. 30, 2015, will reduce northbound traffic to one lane at the bridge over I-88, the Illinois Department of Transportation said in a statement. The lane reduction will begin south of the eastbound I-88 entrance ramp and will end north of the westbound I-88 exit ramp, IDOT said.

Southbound IL 59 will not be affected.

Once complete, the project will provide additional roadway capacity and should relieve traffic congestion, IDOT said.
