SHARE Suspects sought in Washington Park armed robberies

Police are searching for at least two men who are wanted in connection with several recent armed robberies in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood.

The men walk up to victims, pull out a handgun and demand property, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The robberies happened:

-in the 300 block of East 60th Street about 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 29;

-in the 5900 block of South Wabash about 5 a.m. on Nov. 29;

-in the 5900 block of South King Drive about 5 p.m. on Dec. 3.

The suspects are described as two or three black men, between 18 and 25 years old, 5-foot-3 and 6-foot-3, 130 and 160 pounds, with medium to dark complexions, black hair and dreadlocks.

A Dodge Charger or another dark-colored sedan was used in the robberies, police said.
