A teenage boy was shot Tuesday evening in the Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The boy, 16, was on the sidewalk in the 2900 block of West 25th Place at 5:11 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up, and someone who exited started shooting, police said. The boy was shot in the abdomen.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
