SHARE Bailiwick announces ‘delightfully dark’ season

Bailiwick Chicago has announced its “delightfully dark” 2014-2015 season. Here is the lineup:

+ “The Wild Party” (Oct. 2-Nov. 1): The John Michael LaChiusa musical inspired by the Joseph Moncure March poem about lives of decadence in 1920s Manhattan. Directed and choreographed by Brenda Didier.

+ “Princess Mary Demands Your Attention” (Jan. 15-Feb. 21, 2015): A world premiere drama by resident playwright Aaron Holland that tells the story of “a gay, black daydreamer.”

+ “Murder Ballad” (April 2-May 9): The Chicago premiere of the new off Broadway rock musical by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash that looks at a woman torn between impulses for safety and danger.

“The Wild Party” and “Princess Mary” will be performed at the Victory Gardens studio; “Murder Ballad” will be staged at the Flat Iron Arts building. Tickets will go on sale at a later date.
