Hip-hop artist and actor Shad Moss — known to the entertainment world as Bow Wow — has been tapped to join Patricia Arquette and James Van Der Beek in the latest “Crime Scene Investigation” spinoff: “CSI: Cyber,” a mid-season replacement series planned at CBS.

Based on the work of real-life cyberpsychologist Mary Aiken, the new “CSI” will focus on Arquette as Special Agent Avery Ryan, who heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI.

Bow Wow will portray Brody “Baby Face” Nelson, a top hacker ordered by a judge to work with Ryan to help with a cyber case — or go to prison.
