THE SKINNY

Oswego jumped out to a 27-10 lead early in the second quarter but Oswego East was able to climb back into the game. The Panthers had only 38 points at the end of the third quarter, but Oswego East never took the lead.

TURNING POINT

Oswego East (4-8, 3-1 Suburban Prairie) cut the lead to 34-32 late in the third, but Oswego (6-5, 4-0) went on an 8-1 run, including six points from Amri Wilder, to take control of the game.

THE STAR

Wilder was steady and consistent all night, finishing with a game-high 23 points. She shot 8-for-12 from the field and 6-for-6 from the line.

BY THE NUMBERS

Jordan Campbell scored 13 points and Erin Sinnott added 12 for Oswego. Julianna Wadsworth paced Oswego East with 17 points. Sydney Schultz finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

QUOTABLE

“Our five losses, Neuqua got us pretty good, but every other loss was five or six points. We just shot 30 percent from the field. We’ve overcome that now. We’re finally starting to relax and make some plays. We came out ready to go.”

– Oswego coach Chad Pohlmann
