The Trevians continue streak of never winning a semifinal in any tournament this season by falling to Stevenson in the Scholastic Hockey League semifinals. Will start Blackhawks Cup action this week.

Sophomore forward Michael Bonaguro scored two big goals to stave off elimination. Will face Fenwick on Saturday for chance to play Benet in Kennedy Cup finals.

Goalie Corey Benjoya stood on his head against New Trier Green. The Patriots will take on Benet in Blackhawks Cup action on Monday and will face top-ranked Glenbrook North for the Scholastic Hockey League championship on Thursday and Saturday.

Down one game in best-of-three series for the Metro West Scholastic Cup playoffs to Sandburg. Will face Fenwick in Blackhawks Cup action on Friday.

7. Benet 28-12-5 9

Joe Condon was a goal-scoring machine in Kennedy Cup semi finals against St. Rita. Benet showed themselves to be the quicker team. Will take on Stevenson in Blackhawks Cup play on Monday and awaits the winner of the Providence-Fenwick game to play in the Kennedy Cup finals.

8. Sandburg 46-12-3 10

Did Ethan Pelesky’s clutch overtime goal against Naperville Central turn the Eagles fortunes around? Sandburg has won three straight and can take the Metro West Scholastic Cup championship with a victory over Naperville North. Will face Highland Park in Blackhawks Cup play on Friday.

9. Loyola Gold 33-24 6

The Ramblers are looking to rebound from a disappointing finish in the Scholastic Hockey League tournament. Will face Deerfield in Blackhawks Cup game on March 11.

10. Naperville Central 31-18-3 NR

Joey Schick has the hot hand for the Redhawks. Will face St. Rita in a Blackhawks Cup game on Thursday.
