Summer Vacation Plans (If Not Too Late)

SHARE Summer Vacation Plans (If Not Too Late)

For those football freaks, those who can’t get enough juice to hydrate their systems during the offseason (and those who don’t already have summer travel plans), book your tickets to Hoover High School in Birmingham, Ala. in late July for the National Select 7-on-7 tournament. It’s a three-day tournament from July 22-24.

Your local bandwagon features players from Maine South, the two-time Class 8A defending champs. Four of the teams in the field were ranked by ESPN in its final national poll, including the Hawks at No. 6.

As far as I could tell, Hoover’s team isn’t in the tournament. In case you didn’t know, this is how that school is most famous (the Bucs also are good at football).
