Manteno is No. 1 in charity, too. The top-ranked Panthers teamed with Seneca to raise $1,000, which they are donating to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital to help beat childhood cancer. “Our girls did a tremendous job fund-raising and feel good about giving back,” Manteno coach Josh Carlile said.
Downers North’s Dale Ryndak can do it all. Ryndak, a senior pitcher committed to Arizona State, had another dynamic week. She pitched 20 scoreless innings and added five home runs. She is currently batting .477 with 27 extra-base hits (10 home runs), and 41 RBI. She is 20-1 in the circle with a 0.10 ERA and 202 strikeouts.

They clinched their ninth consecutive conference title last week, and 16th in the last 17 years. They have a combined record of 241-23 over the past 22 years in conference play.
