THE SKINNY

A touchdown pass from Clayton Thorson to Matt Biegalski with under two minutes in the first half gave Wheaton North (7-1, 5-1 DuPage Valley) momentum heading into the second half. Thorson threw and ran for touchdowns in the second half to ensure the victory.

THE TURNING POINT

With his team leading 24-17 in the fourth quarter, Falcons junior Nick Singleton intercepted Jake Kolbe with 4:42 remaining in the game. Wheaton North scored on its next possession.

THE STAR

Thorson threw for 336 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 22 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The Redhawks (5-3, 3-3) relied on the pass and registered only six rushing yards on 14 carries.
