THE SKINNY
The Roadrunners (6-2) overcame four first-half turnovers with a relentless defensive attack against the Bulldogs (1-7). Junior QB Jonah Beauduy righted the ship on offense for the Roadrunners with three touchdowns in a span of 3 minutes, 18 seconds.
TURNING POINT
After the Roadrunners picked off sophomore Bulldogs QB Ryan Swift, they were able to find the end zone for the first time since early in the first quarter with a 4-yard rushing TD by senior running back Michael Masterson.
THE STAR
Beauduy helped stop the bleeding on the turnovers with a disciplined attack. He had six carries for 62 yards, including a 31-yard run on the first play from scrimmage in the second half.
BY THE NUMBERS
Nazareth freshman RB Justin Weller had nine carries for 101 yards and a TD for the Roadrunners and senior RB Cyle Tucker had seven carries for 49 yards. The Roadrunners’ defense sacked Swift six times for a total of 45 yards
