THE SKINNY

It wasn’t the game Curie expected, but the outcome was still what it wanted. The Condors controlled every facet of the game and scored points on offense, defense and special teams. It was a total team effort.

TURNING POINT

The Condors claimed a 30-0 halftime lead, and emphatically outdistanced Hope on Marcus King’s 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening play of the second half.

THE STAR

Alondre Pickens, who has raised his touchdown total to 10 for the season, scored three touchdowns, all in the first half, on runs of 12, 18 and five yards. He did not play in the second half.

BY THE NUMBERS

Curie recorded two safeties and returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Three Condors scored at least two touchdowns.

QUOTABLE

“Everything was working just the way we practiced it. The game just came to us.” — Pickens
