With state playoff implications on the line, Raby (7-2) handed Robeson (6-3) its worst public league loss ever Thursday in a Public League playoff at Stagg.

THE TURNING POINT

Raby’s Travis Powell returned the game’s opening kickoff  71 yards to the five-yard line. That set up a two-yard touchdown run by quarterback Chris Covington.

THE STAR

Powell caught touchdown passes of 41, 35, and 16 yards. He had six catches for 117 yards and three scores.

BY THE NUMBERS

Covington completed 15 of 24 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns and scored rushing touchdowns on runs of two and 10 yards.
