After years of courtship, lacrosse finally reached the magic number for inclusion into the IHSA’s official state series, the organization announced Tuesday. Boys and girls teams can compete for the 2010-11 school year.
According to the IHSA, Illinois is the 17th state to officially recognize lacrosse as a sport.
