Volleyball recruiting is starting to wrapup for the Class of 2009. The first day of the earning signing period is Nov. 12.

Hersey senior Ann Carroll, who had a match-high 11 kills in the Huskies’ MSL championship match win over Conant, has narrowed her list to Harvard, Cornell and Lehigh. Carroll is a 6-foot- middle hitter.

Glenbrook South sophomore Ellen Chapman, a 6-3 middle hitter, expects to receive plenty of offers from Big Ten and even Pac-10 schools. One source said she is planning on visiting Penn State next month. The defending NCAA champion Lions are undefeated and ranked No. 1 this season. The source said Chapman could make an early decision in the next two to three months.
