MEN’S BASKETBALL

Held to a season-low scoring total for the second consecutive game, the North Central College men’s basketball team dropped to 1-2 in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) play on Saturday as it fell 65-51 at Carthage College. Vince Kmiec scored a team-high 11 points for North Central.

WRESTLING

North Central College finished second at the Manchester University Spartan Mat Classic. Freshman Layten Binion earned a 12-5 victory over Wheeling Jesuit University’s Scott Lopez to win the 133-pound weight class. Nathan Segal (149) and Dylan Mahler (285) also won titles.
