More than 24 hours before Curie and Young’s four OT battle for Public League supremacy, Curie and Young received the 1-2 seeds at the Class 4A Marist Sectional. On Friday, the IHSA released the entire state boys basketball playoff pairings.

Curie opens against 15th-seeded Argo or 18th-seeded DuSable at 6 p.m. March 4 in the King Regional. Young hosts its own regional and plays 14th-seeded Reavis or 18th-seeded Kelly at 6 p.m. March 4.

The other top sectionals seeds for Class 4A were Loyola at Maine South, Stevenson at Lake Zurich, Marian Catholic at Thornton, Benet at East Aurora and York at Bartlett. In Class 3A, the top sectional seeds are Bogan at Vocational, North Chicago at Antioch and Orr at Westinghouse.
