The inaugural Windy City Ram Classic opened Monday, the first day of the girls soccer season. First-round winners in the 16-team tournament were T.F. United (TF North and TF South co-op), Willowbrook, Bremen, Bolingbrook, Fenwick, Romeoville, Richards and Lincoln-Way West.

The tournament is hosted by Reavis, which has lined up Toyota Park in Bridgeview as the site of the championship game at noon Sunday. Tournament officials have a detailed web site at windycityclassic.info and even a Facebook page where players and teams can share results, experiences, pictures and game stories.

Due to wet field conditions game locations are dependent on schools with artificial turf fields. Wednesday’s quarterfinal games are as followed:

T.F. United at Willowbrook, 6 p.m.

Bremen at Bolingbrook, 6 p.m.

Fenwick at Romeoville, 6 p.m.

Richards at Lincoln-Way West, 4:30 p.m.
