Well, more like good ‘ol No. 13 as in the 13th-seeded Elk Grove Grenadiers captured the Prospect Regional on Thursday with their 8-5 win over No. 6 Hersey. EG went 5-0 at Prospect to earn its trip to Naperville for the IHSBCA’s state tournament. One of eight teams in two pools, the Grens open with Warren at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Check back next week for more results, recaps.
