Simeon showed that its 0-3 record was very misleading, as it opened Red Bird conference play by routing host Lane on Friday.

With Simeon leading 14-7, Donnell Cockrell ripped off an 80-yard touchdown run for an insurmountable.

Cockrell paved the way with four touchdowns.
